Xylene Laboratory Reagent – 2.5 Litres

Xylene 2.5 L is an organic solvent widely used in professional laboratory applications, particularly histology and pathology tissue processing. In histology workflows, xylene is commonly used as a clearing agent, including during tissue processing and deparaffinization of paraffin-embedded tissue sections. Xylene is a clear, colourless, flammable liquid with a characteristic aromatic odour. Commercial xylene commonly contains a mixture of xylene isomers. NIOSH identifies xylene as dimethylbenzene and lists the o-, m- and p-xylene isomers.
