Runyes DS630 Dental Image Plate Scanner – PSP X-Ray Scanner

The Runyes DS630 Image Plate Scanner is a compact digital dental imaging system designed to convert exposed phosphor storage plates (PSP/image plates) into digital intraoral X-ray images. It is used together with compatible dental X-ray equipment. After an image plate is exposed during dental radiography, the plate is inserted into the DS630, where the stored radiographic information is scanned and converted into a digital image for viewing and processing on a connected computer. The DS630 combines a 35 μm pixel size, 660 nm scanning laser and 14-bit grayscale depth to support detailed dental radiographic images. Runyes specifies an imaging time of ≤6 seconds, while its product literature also describes rapid image recognition/reading during the scanning workflow. One of the DS630's key features is its fully automatic electromagnetic adsorption scanning mechanism. Runyes states that this intelligent scanning process minimizes extrusion of the imaging plate, helping reduce plate wear and the influence of external contaminants. The scanner supports four intraoral image-plate sizes—0, 1, 2 and 3—providing flexibility for different dental radiographic examinations.
