The Runyes DCI Edge Maple 62D Integral Dental Unit Chair is a premium professional dental treatment system designed to provide excellent patient accessibility, clinician ergonomics and flexible treatment-room workflow. A major feature of the Maple 62D is its electro-hydraulic drive system. Published DCI Edge documentation specifies a load capacity of over 220 kg, adjustable lifting speed, soft-start operation and static positioning. The chair can lower to approximately 340 mm from the floor, making patient access easier for children and people with limited mobility. The 62D is the down-mounted version of the Maple 62 platform. Its instrument delivery arm originates from the lower part of the unit, helping create a more open working field around the patient. By comparison, the Maple 62U uses an up-mounted delivery system. Patient positioning is supported by an adjustable headrest with up to nine angular positions, while the chair itself can rotate approximately 30°. This combination provides greater flexibility when positioning patients for different dental procedures. The unit also incorporates a DCI LED operating light with sensor and touch controls and both white and yellow illumination modes. The yellow mode is particularly useful when working with light-sensitive restorative materials.
