The Roche cobas c 311 is a fully automated, random-access clinical chemistry analyzer designed for routine and specialized chemistry testing in hospital laboratories, diagnostic centres and other clinical laboratories requiring higher throughput. The system combines photometric clinical chemistry testing with integrated ion-selective electrode (ISE) technology, allowing laboratories to consolidate routine chemistry and electrolyte testing on a single platform. With throughput of up to 300 photometric tests per hour and an ISE module capable of up to 450 tests per hour, the cobas c 311 is suited to laboratories requiring considerably greater capacity than smaller benchtop systems such as the cobas c 111. The analyzer uses Roche's cobas c packs, which simplify reagent handling through ready-to-use reagent cartridges and automated reagent identification.
