The Revvity Migele IVD Gel Electrophoresis Unit is a laboratory diagnostic instrument designed for the separation and identification of haemoglobin variants using isoelectric focusing (IEF) technology.
Designed for newborn screening and haemoglobinopathy investigations, the system works with Revvity RESOLVE haemoglobin kits to help detect haemoglobin variants associated with sickle cell disease, thalassaemias and other inherited haemoglobin disorders.
The instrument uses horizontal agarose gel electrophoresis, a programmable high-voltage power supply and a recirculating water bath to provide controlled separation of haemoglobin variants according to their isoelectric points.
Its compact benchtop design and scalable configuration make it suitable for newborn screening laboratories, diagnostic centres, clinical laboratories, teaching hospitals and specialist haematology laboratories.
The IVD version is listed by Revvity as CE-IVD marked and intended for professional in vitro diagnostic use.
