Randox Aspartate Aminotransferase (AST) Reagent – UV Method

The Randox Aspartate Aminotransferase (AST) reagent is an in-vitro diagnostic clinical chemistry assay used for the quantitative measurement of Aspartate Aminotransferase activity in serum or plasma. AST is an enzyme found in tissues including the liver, heart, skeletal muscle, kidneys and red blood cells, and its measurement is commonly included in liver-function and tissue-injury investigations. Randox supplies its main automated AST assay using a UV modified IFCC method in a liquid, ready-to-use format. The reagent is designed for Randox RX Series analyzers and can also be applied on compatible third-party clinical chemistry analyzers using instrument-specific application settings.
