Qualmedi Infant Bubble CPAP System

The Qualmedi Infant Bubble CPAP System is a neonatal non-invasive respiratory support system designed to provide continuous positive airway pressure to spontaneously breathing newborns and infants requiring respiratory assistance. Bubble CPAP helps maintain positive airway pressure throughout the respiratory cycle. In a typical system, blended air and oxygen pass through a humidification circuit to the infant through appropriately sized nasal prongs or a nasal mask. The expiratory limb is submerged in water to generate the required CPAP pressure and characteristic pressure oscillations. The system is intended for use in neonatal environments such as NICUs, special care baby units and neonatal emergency settings, where clinicians may use CPAP for conditions including neonatal respiratory distress syndrome, apnea of prematurity and post-extubation respiratory support
