The PYREX® 5.8L Large Top Desiccator with 24/29 Standard Taper Stopcock, Product No. 3121-200, is a reusable glass vacuum desiccator designed for drying and storing moisture-sensitive materials under reduced pressure. It uses a rugged 24/29 Standard Taper stopcock with a tooled hose connection that serves as the vacuum inlet. The stopcock uses a PTFE plug and is designed for grease-free operation; loosening it disengages the plug from the glass to admit vacuum, while a half-turn closes the desiccator. Corning rates the unit for 1-atmosphere vacuum.
