The siphon tube incorporates a bulb near its upper section to facilitate consistent siphoning, while the surrounding vapour tube helps protect the siphon mechanism against accidental damage. The extractor features a 34/45 standard taper outer joint at the top and a 24/40 standard taper inner joint at the bottom, enabling connection to compatible laboratory condensers and boiling flasks. Designed for efficient small-scale extraction procedures, the extractor accommodates suitable PYREX® fritted glass extraction thimbles, paper thimbles, or glass wool to support solid samples during extraction.
