The PYREX 31760-500ES Gas Washing Stopper with Extra Coarse Fritted Disc is a high-quality replacement glass stopper assembly designed for the Corning PYREX 500 mL gas washing bottle, catalogue number 31760-500EC. Manufactured from laboratory-grade glass, the assembly incorporates a hollow standard taper stopper, a gas inlet tube and a 20 mm extra-coarse fritted glass disc that disperses incoming gas through a suitable washing liquid. The extra-coarse fritted disc features a nominal pore distribution of 170–220 micrometres, allowing relatively large gas bubbles to pass through with lower flow resistance than finer fritted discs. This replacement assembly is suitable for gas washing, gas absorption, gas humidification and laboratory gas-handling procedures in chemical, pharmaceutical, biotechnology and research laboratories.
