PYREX 1L Roux Culture Bottle with Offset Neck

The PYREX 1290-1L 1L Roux Culture Bottle is a heavy-wall borosilicate glass culture vessel designed for growing mass cultures as well as single or monolayer cultures. Its distinctive rectangular configuration allows the bottle to be laid flat, at which point Corning states that it holds approximately one-half of its stated 1L capacity. This provides a broad surface area useful for culture applications. The bottle incorporates an offset neck with a tool-finished mouth, providing increased strength and a uniform fit for a No. 4 stopper. It can withstand repeated wet or dry sterilization and is designed to stack for convenient laboratory storage. The stopper is not included.
