Product Description The PYREX 100x15mm Petri Dish Bottom Only 3160-101BO is a reusable clear glass Petri dish base designed for laboratory culture and general scientific applications. Manufactured from durable PYREX glass, the dish bottom is designed to withstand repeated wet or dry sterilization, making it suitable for laboratories that prefer reusable glass Petri dishes over disposable plastic alternatives. The edges feature a beaded rim that increases mechanical strength. According to Corning, this bead also helps maintain even spacing between the walls of the dish bottom and compatible cover, reducing capillary action from condensed moisture along the sides. The bottom is marked with white enamel for easier identification and sorting and includes a triangular enamel reference point useful for serial dilution procedures. Important: This product contains the bottom only. The Petri dish cover is not included.
