The PRIMAX X-Ray Film Cassette 14 × 14 Inch (35 × 35 cm) is a reusable radiographic cassette designed for holding X-ray film and intensifying screens during conventional diagnostic radiography. PRIMAX film cassettes feature a lightweight aluminium frame with reinforced corners for durability and a powder-coated exterior finish. The design is intended to provide reliable film-screen contact while protecting the radiographic film during handling and exposure. A lead-foil backing is incorporated to help absorb backscattered radiation that could otherwise contribute to image degradation. PRIMAX also documents cassette configurations with an identification window for use with identification cameras.
