The Polymed Single Blood Bag 450ml is a sterile, single-use blood collection system designed for the collection, preservation, storage and transfusion of whole blood. The blood bag is manufactured from medical-grade PVC and incorporates flexible, kink-resistant tubing, protected ports, a blood collection needle and convenient hanger openings. Polymed's blood bag system uses CPDA anticoagulant solution, which the manufacturer states can preserve whole blood/packed red blood cells for up to 35 days under appropriate blood-bank storage conditions. The 450ml single-bag configuration is particularly suited to routine whole-blood collection in blood banks, hospitals, transfusion centres and blood-donation programmes.
