Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy (PEG) Feeding Tube

The Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy (PEG) Feeding Tube is a long-term enteral feeding device placed through the abdominal wall directly into the stomach to deliver nutrition, fluids and medication when oral feeding is inadequate or not possible. PEG tubes are made from soft medical-grade silicone or polyurethane and may feature an internal retention dome or bumper, an external fixation plate, feeding port, medication port, clamp, graduated depth markings and an ENFit enteral connector depending on the model. Established PEG systems are available in multiple French sizes for different patient requirements.
