Paediatric AED Defibrillation Pads / Child AED Electrode Pads

Paediatric AED Pads are adhesive defibrillation electrodes designed for use with compatible Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) on infants and children. They are typically intended for patients under 8 years of age or weighing less than 25 kg (55 lb). When connected to a compatible AED, paediatric pads either trigger the AED to use a child-specific energy setting or incorporate an energy-reduction system, depending on the AED manufacturer. Their smaller electrode size and child-specific placement guidance help support appropriate defibrillation in paediatric cardiac emergencies.
