The Olympus CX33 Trinocular Biological Microscope is a professional upright laboratory microscope designed for routine clinical, diagnostic, biological and educational microscopy. It combines an infinity-corrected optical system, Plan Achromat objectives, ergonomic controls and long-life LED illumination with a trinocular observation head for digital imaging and documentation.
Unlike a standard binocular microscope, the CX33's trinocular head incorporates a dedicated camera port, allowing a compatible microscope camera to be connected for image capture, documentation, teaching and digital display. The optical path can be switched between 100% eyepiece viewing and 100% camera output.
The microscope uses a 30° inclined trinocular observation tube, standard 10X eyepieces with FN20 field number, and an adjustable interpupillary distance of 48–75 mm.
A typical CX33 configuration includes 4X, 10X and 40X Plan Achromat objectives, while 20X and 100X oil-immersion objectives are available as options. With a 100X objective and 10X eyepieces, the microscope provides up to 1000X total magnification.
