Olympus CX31 Trinocular Biological Microscope

The Olympus CX31 Trinocular Biological Microscope is a professional upright laboratory microscope designed for routine brightfield observation with the added capability of camera-based imaging and documentation through a trinocular observation head. The CX31 platform uses Olympus UIS2 Universal Infinity-Corrected optical technology, providing bright, clear images with good field flatness. Its trinocular configuration provides two eyepieces for direct observation together with a dedicated photo/video optical path that can be connected to a compatible microscope camera and adapter. Olympus documentation specifies a fixed 50% binocular / 50% photo-video light path for the trinocular configuration. A typical configuration uses 10X eyepieces with Plan Achromat 4X, 10X, 40X and 100X oil-immersion objectives, providing approximately 40X, 100X, 400X and 1000X total magnification.
