Olympus CX23 Binocular Bright-Field Biological Microscope

The Olympus CX23 Binocular Bright-Field Microscope is a compact upright biological microscope designed for reliable observation of biological specimens in laboratories, educational institutions and training environments. The CX23 combines Olympus/Evident's infinity-corrected optical system with plan achromat objectives and uniform LED transmitted illumination for clear, flat and consistently illuminated specimen images. The binocular observation head provides a 30° viewing angle, a field number of 20, and an adjustable interpupillary distance of 48–75 mm. The standard 10× eyepieces combined with 4×, 10×, 40× and, depending on configuration, 100× oil-immersion objectives provide the magnification ranges required for routine biological microscopy. Designed with students and routine users in mind, the CX23 has a compact body, ergonomic carrying grips, a rackless mechanical stage and coaxial coarse/fine focusing controls. Its LED illumination has a manufacturer-stated lifetime of approximately 20,000 hours, reducing the need for frequent lamp replacement.
