Mindray Red Blood Cell Folate Releasing Reagent is an in vitro diagnostic sample-preparation reagent used to pretreat whole blood specimens before measurement of red blood cell folate with the Mindray Folate CLIA assay. The reagent lyses red blood cells and converts intracellular, RBC-bound folate into a measurable form. The resulting treated specimen is referred to as an RBC hemolysate, which can then be tested using the compatible Mindray Folate chemiluminescence immunoassay.
