Mindray Procalcitonin (PCT) CLIA Reagent Kit is a chemiluminescence immunoassay designed for the quantitative determination of Procalcitonin in human serum or plasma using compatible Mindray CL-series automatic chemiluminescence immunoassay analyzers. Procalcitonin is an important biomarker used in the assessment of systemic bacterial infection and sepsis. PCT concentrations may rise significantly during severe bacterial infections and can support clinical evaluation, risk assessment and monitoring of response to treatment when interpreted together with other laboratory and clinical findings. Mindray positions PCT as part of its dedicated inflammation solution together with IL-6 and sCD14-ST.
