Mindray MR-96A Microplate Reader

The Mindray MR-96A Microplate Reader is a compact absorbance-based laboratory analyzer designed for reading 96-well and 48-well microplates in ELISA and other compatible colorimetric assays. The MR-96A uses an 8-channel optical measurement system with a tungsten-halogen light source. It operates across a wavelength range of 400–700 nm and comes with standard filters at 405 nm, 450 nm, 492 nm and 630 nm. Four additional filter positions allow laboratories to expand the wavelength configuration where compatible filters are available. For efficient laboratory workflow, the analyzer can read a plate in approximately 5 seconds in single-wavelength mode and 12 seconds in double-wavelength mode. It incorporates a fully automatic bichromatic optical system and variable time and speed shaking modes. The MR-96A features a large 7.8-inch colour touchscreen with touch pen and pop-up keypad, making test programming and result review straightforward. An integrated thermal printer enables immediate printing of results, while RS232 and two USB interfaces provide connectivity for compatible external devices. With storage for up to 20,000 results, multiple curve-fitting options and optional PC-based data-management software, the MR-96A is well suited to clinical laboratories and research facilities performing routine microplate-based assays.
