Mindray Collagen Type IV (C IV) CLIA Reagent Kit is a chemiluminescence immunoassay designed for the quantitative determination of Collagen Type IV in human serum using compatible Mindray CL-series automatic chemiluminescence immunoassay analyzers. Mindray officially includes Collagen IV in its liver-fibrosis panel together with Laminin, Hyaluronic Acid and N-terminal Peptide of Procollagen Type III. Collagen Type IV is an important structural component of basement membranes. Changes in serum Collagen Type IV concentrations may reflect extracellular-matrix turnover associated with hepatic fibrosis. The Mindray assay is intended as an aid in the diagnosis of liver fibrosis and cirrhosis, but is not intended to determine the stage of liver fibrosis by itself.
