CA15-3 is a tumor-associated antigen related to the MUC1 glycoprotein. It is commonly used as an aid in the management and monitoring of patients with breast cancer. Mindray specifically states that the assay is not recommended as a population screening test for cancer and that results should be evaluated together with clinical findings and other diagnostic information.
