Mindray C-Peptide (CLIA) Reagent Kit is an in vitro diagnostic chemiluminescence immunoassay reagent designed for the quantitative determination of C-Peptide in human serum, plasma or urine using compatible Mindray CL-series chemiluminescence immunoassay analyzers. It is intended as an aid in assessing abnormal insulin secretion and diabetes mellitus. C-Peptide is released in approximately equimolar amounts with endogenous insulin and is therefore useful for evaluating pancreatic beta-cell function and endogenous insulin production. Mindray notes that C-Peptide testing can help distinguish between type 1 and type 2 diabetes.
