Mindray BC-5000 5-Part Hematology Analyzer

The Mindray BC-5000 5-Part Hematology Analyzer is a compact fully automated blood cell analyzer designed to deliver complete blood count (CBC) testing with 5-part white blood cell differentiation. It reports 23 hematology parameters, three histograms and three differential scattergrams while processing up to 40 samples per hour. Its compact footprint makes it particularly suitable for diagnostic laboratories, hospitals and clinics that need advanced 5-part hematology capability without the space requirements of a larger analyzer. For WBC analysis, the BC-5000 combines flow cytometry, laser scatter and chemical dye technology. RBC and platelet counting are performed using the impedance method, while hemoglobin measurement uses a cyanide-free reagent system. A dedicated optical counting channel is provided for basophil measurement. The analyzer supports whole blood, capillary whole blood and prediluted modes. Whole-blood and capillary modes require only 15µL of sample, making the system particularly useful when sample availability is limited, including pediatric applications.
