Mindray Antigen and Antibodies to Human Immunodeficiency Virus

Mindray Antigen and Antibodies to Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV Ag/Ab) CLIA Reagent Kit is a fourth-generation chemiluminescence immunoassay designed for the simultaneous qualitative detection of HIV p24 antigen and antibodies to HIV-1 and/or HIV-2 in human serum or plasma using compatible Mindray CL-series analyzers. By detecting both HIV p24 antigen and HIV-1/2 antibodies, the assay can identify HIV infection earlier than antibody-only assays because p24 antigen may become detectable before seroconversion. Mindray describes the assay as capable of detecting HIV-1, including Group M and Group O, as well as HIV-2 antibodies.
