Mindray Alpha-Fetoprotein (AFP) CLIA Reagent Kit is an in vitro diagnostic reagent designed for the quantitative determination of Alpha-Fetoprotein in human serum or plasma using compatible Mindray CL-series chemiluminescence immunoassay analyzers. Mindray lists AFP as part of its tumor-marker CLIA assay menu. AFP is an important tumor-associated biomarker used as an aid in the clinical evaluation of hepatocellular carcinoma and in the diagnosis and monitoring of certain non-seminomatous germ cell tumors. AFP concentrations should be interpreted together with clinical findings, imaging and other laboratory investigations rather than used as a standalone cancer diagnosis.
