Medical Suction Bottle / Suction Jar

The Medical Suction Bottle, also called a suction jar, is a reusable collection container designed to receive blood, mucus, secretions and other body fluids during medical suction procedures. It is commonly connected to wall-mounted vacuum regulators, central suction systems or electric suction machines. A common hospital configuration has a 2-litre capacity, transparent graduated body, quick-opening lid, two tubing ports and a safety overflow valve to help prevent collected fluid from entering the vacuum line. Many versions use autoclavable polycarbonate jars for repeated clinical use.
