MAST Yersinia Agar Base – 500g

MAST Yersinia Agar Base is a dehydrated selective culture medium designed for the isolation and cultivation of Yersinia enterocolitica from clinical, food and environmental specimens. It is intended for use with MAST Yersinia Selectatab (MS19) to produce the selective medium based on the Schiemann formulation. The medium aids differentiation through mannitol fermentation, which gives Yersinia enterocolitica colonies a characteristic appearance and helps distinguish them from many other Gram-negative organisms.
