MAST G.C. Agar Base 500g is a dehydrated microbiological culture medium designed for the cultivation of pathogenic Neisseria, including organisms associated with gonococcal infections. When appropriately supplemented, the medium can be used for the isolation and cultivation of Neisseria gonorrhoeae. Selective formulations may incorporate haemoglobin or blood components, enrichment supplements and antimicrobial agents to suppress contaminating organisms while supporting pathogenic Neisseria.
