The VELA Hydraulic Stretcher by Malvestio is a professional hospital patient-transport stretcher designed for safe, comfortable and efficient movement of patients across hospital wards, emergency areas and outpatient departments.
VELA features hydraulic variable-height adjustment, allowing healthcare personnel to raise or lower the patient platform to support transfers and clinical procedures. The available VELA models also provide Trendelenburg and Reverse-Trendelenburg positioning, a radiotransparent mattress platform and folding side rails.
The radiotransparent platform supports X-ray examinations without unnecessarily transferring the patient from the stretcher. Malvestio also provides a sliding X-ray cassette holder along the stretcher and a radiotransparent backrest compatible with an image intensifier.
The standard VELA has an overall size of approximately 210 × 83 cm, a 195 × 70 cm mattress platform and hydraulic height adjustment from approximately 56 to 88 cm. The backrest adjusts from 0° to 90°, while Trendelenburg and Reverse-Trendelenburg positioning reach 18°. The specified safe working load is 320 kg.
