The Lerong Bubble CPAP System is a non-invasive respiratory support system designed primarily for spontaneously breathing newborns and premature infants who require continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP).
Bubble CPAP works by delivering a continuous flow of humidified gas through a nasal interface while the expiratory limb is submerged in water. The depth of immersion generates the required positive airway pressure, while continuous bubbling indicates pressure generation.
The system is designed to help maintain functional residual capacity, keep the airways and alveoli open, improve oxygenation and reduce the work of breathing. Bubble CPAP is commonly used for neonatal respiratory distress, including respiratory distress syndrome in premature infants and post-extubation respiratory support.

System Components
A typical Bubble CPAP system consists of:
Air/Oxygen blender
Flowmeters
Servo-controlled heated humidifier
Humidification chamber
Inspiratory breathing circuit
Expiratory breathing circuit
Bubble generator (water chamber)
Pressure adjustment tube
Nasal prongs
Nasal mask
Head cap and fixation straps

Operating Principle
The Bubble CPAP system delivers a blended mixture of oxygen and air through a heated humidifier before reaching the infant via nasal prongs or a nasal mask. Positive airway pressure is generated by immersing the expiratory limb of the breathing circuit into a water chamber. The depth of the tube below the water surface determines the CPAP pressure, while the bubbling action provides gentle pressure oscillations that help maintain alveolar recruitment and improve gas exchange.
