The LABOID Automatic Tissue Processor is a microprocessor-controlled histopathology instrument designed to automate the sequential processing of tissue specimens prior to embedding and microscopic examination. The system uses a 12-station processing arrangement, automatically transferring the tissue basket through programmed stations. LABOID's controls display the current station, station time, elapsed time, real time/date and wax-bath temperature, helping laboratory personnel monitor the processing cycle. A feather-touch keyboard with digital display provides access to functions including start, clear, keyboard lock, cycle display, delay, load, next-station movement, test and wax-bath temperature setting. The programmable delay function can be set from 1 to 999 minutes. The automated design reduces repeated manual handling during tissue processing and is suitable for pathology and histopathology laboratories requiring consistent, programmable specimen preparation.
