IV Cannula – Sterile Peripheral Intravenous Catheter

The IV Cannula is a single-use medical device designed to provide peripheral intravenous access for appropriate administration of fluids and medications, or other compatible clinical procedures, by trained healthcare professionals. A typical peripheral IV cannula consists of a flexible catheter positioned over an introducer needle. Following appropriate venous insertion, the needle is withdrawn while the flexible catheter remains in the vein to provide intravenous access.
