The Disonmed BL-50D Infant Phototherapy Unit is an LED-based neonatal phototherapy system designed to support the treatment of neonatal hyperbilirubinemia (jaundice). It provides controlled blue-light exposure to help reduce elevated bilirubin levels in newborn babies. The BL-50D uses long-life LED bulbs as its phototherapy radiant source and provides three selectable irradiance intensity levels: low, medium and high. The manufacturer also specifies equal light distribution and high-intensity output for effective phototherapy coverage. An integrated LCD screen separately displays treatment time and accumulated operating time. Both count-up and count-down timers are provided, making it easier for healthcare professionals to accurately manage phototherapy sessions. The phototherapy head angle and stand height are adjustable for positioning over the infant. The mobile base combines aluminium alloy and steel construction and is fitted with four lockable castors. The BL-50D can be used alongside an infant incubator, infant radiant warmer or baby cradle, providing flexibility across neonatal-care environments.
