The IKA Hot Plate Magnetic Stirrer is a laboratory instrument designed to provide simultaneous heating and magnetic stirring of liquid samples. It combines a heated working surface with magnetic-drive stirring, allowing laboratory solutions to be mixed continuously while maintaining or increasing temperature. The C-MAG HS 7, for example, uses a chemically resistant ceramic heating plate and can stir up to 10 L of water, with a 100–1500 rpm speed range and heating temperature range of 50–500°C.
