The HD-9000A Portable Monophasic Defibrillator is a manual external defibrillator designed for emergency cardiac resuscitation in hospitals, clinics, ambulances and emergency-care environments. It uses monophasic waveform technology and offers selectable defibrillation energy levels up to 360 joules. The unit can charge to 360 J in less than 10 seconds and is supplied with reusable external adult paddles, with some published configurations incorporating pediatric paddle capability. Its portable design and ability to operate from mains AC power and an internal battery make it suitable for emergency departments, operating theatres, ambulances and other critical-care settings.
