The Haag-Streit Perkins MK3 Handheld Applanation Tonometer is a portable ophthalmic instrument designed for measuring intraocular pressure (IOP) using the Goldmann applanation principle. It combines the clinically established accuracy of Goldmann-style applanation tonometry with the flexibility of a handheld instrument. Its portable design is particularly useful when conventional slit-lamp-mounted tonometry is inconvenient, including examinations of bedridden patients, wheelchair users, paediatric patients and patients seen in community or outreach settings.
