Digital Electric Dental Pulp Tester – Pulp Vitality Tester

The Digital Dental Pulp Tester is a handheld diagnostic device designed to assist dental professionals in evaluating the sensory response of the dental pulp. During testing, the probe is placed against the appropriate tooth surface and the device delivers a controlled electrical stimulus that gradually increases in intensity. The patient's response to the stimulus provides information that can be considered alongside clinical examination, thermal testing, radiographs and other diagnostic findings when assessing pulp status. Many generic digital models feature Low, Mid and High stimulus-rate settings, allowing the clinician to control how quickly the stimulus increases. Some designs freeze the displayed reading when the patient responds, making it easier to record and compare results.
