The Dental Spatula is a manual dental instrument designed for mixing, blending and manipulating dental materials during clinical and laboratory procedures. It is commonly used together with a dental mixing bowl to prepare materials such as alginate impression material, dental plaster, gypsum and dental stone. The broad working blade allows the operator to incorporate powder and liquid while pressing the mixture against the sides of the bowl to achieve a smooth and consistent mix.
