Dental Cotton Rolls are soft, highly absorbent cylindrical cotton products designed to help absorb saliva, moisture and small amounts of fluid within the oral cavity during dental procedures. They can also be positioned between the cheek or lip and gingiva to help improve access and maintain a cleaner working field. Typical high-quality dental cotton rolls are manufactured from 100% absorbent cotton and designed to remain soft and flexible while maintaining their shape when wet. Depending on the manufacturer, they may also be non-linting and designed not to adhere readily to oral mucosa. They are commonly used during restorative dentistry, cavity preparation/filling, bleaching, examinations and other procedures requiring moisture management or temporary isolation.
