The Cepheid GeneXpert IV (GX-IV) is a compact, automated molecular diagnostic system designed for rapid cartridge-based real-time PCR testing. Its four independently controlled modules allow the laboratory to process up to four Xpert cartridges concurrently, providing flexible random-access molecular testing. The GeneXpert platform integrates and automates major molecular testing processes within a closed cartridge, including sample preparation, nucleic-acid extraction, amplification and real-time detection. This sample-to-answer approach reduces manual processing requirements and helps minimize contamination risk associated with conventional multi-step molecular workflows.
