Cepheid GeneXpert II 2-Module Automated Molecular PCR System

The Cepheid GeneXpert II is a compact, automated molecular diagnostic system designed to perform cartridge-based real-time PCR testing with minimal hands-on processing. The GeneXpert II contains two independently controlled modules, with each module capable of processing one sample at a time. This allows two tests to be run simultaneously, including different compatible Xpert assays. The GeneXpert platform automates key molecular-testing processes, including sample preparation/extraction, nucleic-acid amplification and real-time detection, within a closed Xpert cartridge. The closed-cartridge approach helps reduce manual processing and contamination risk while providing a straightforward sample-to-answer workflow.
