BIOLION XC-H12 Microhematocrit Centrifuge – 12,000 RPM

The BIOLION XC-H12 Microhematocrit Centrifuge is a high-speed laboratory centrifuge designed primarily for spinning capillary blood tubes to separate blood into layers for packed cell volume (PCV)/hematocrit determination. The centrifuge reaches a maximum speed of 12,000 rpm and accommodates 24 × 75 mm capillary tubes in its supplied A001 capillary rotor. After centrifugation, the packed-cell volume can be determined by measuring the separated blood layers. The rotor incorporates a display/reading arrangement that allows tubes to be read directly after centrifugation. The XC-H12 incorporates a brushless motor, variable speed control, programmable operation, digital LED display, balance control, lid lock and temperature/speed protection. These features make it suitable for clinical laboratories and other facilities performing routine microhematocrit procedures. The model has also been documented in clinical research for packed cell volume estimation using heparinized capillary tubes.
