The BIOBASE Class II A2 Biological Safety Cabinet is a laboratory containment workstation designed to provide protection for laboratory personnel, samples/products and the surrounding environment when handling biological materials. The cabinet maintains controlled inward airflow through the front opening while providing vertically filtered downflow over the working area. In BIOBASE's AC Series Class II A2 design, approximately 70% of the air is recirculated and 30% exhausted, with both air streams passing through high-efficiency filtration systems. The cabinet incorporates two ULPA filters rated at 99.9995% efficiency at 0.12 μm, a 304 stainless-steel working zone, motorized front window, microprocessor control, airflow monitoring, UV sterilization and visual/audio safety alarms. It is suitable for microbiology, clinical testing, biomedical research, genetic engineering, biological-product laboratories and other applications requiring controlled biological containment.
