Beckman Coulter DxH 520 5-Part Hematology Analyzer

The Beckman Coulter DxH 520 is a compact automated 5-part differential hematology analyzer designed primarily for low-volume clinical laboratories, clinics and physician-office laboratories requiring high-quality CBC and white blood cell differential testing without the footprint of a larger hematology platform. The analyzer supports both open- and closed-tube sampling. It requires only 17 µL of whole blood for routine analysis and can operate with as little as a 375 µL tube fill volume, making it particularly useful for pediatric, neonatal and difficult-draw specimens. Throughput reaches 55 samples/hour in closed-tube mode and 60 samples/hour in open-tube mode. Closed-tube technology also reduces direct operator exposure to blood specimens, supporting safer routine laboratory workflows. The DxH 520 uses Beckman Coulter's cellular-analysis technologies, including the Coulter Principle and flow-cytometric optical measurements, to generate CBC and 5-part differential results. It uses only three reagents and incorporates automated cleaning and patient/QC data-management capabilities.
