Prontosan® Wound Gel X 250g by B. Braun is a highly viscous wound-management gel designed for long-lasting cleansing, moistening and decontamination of acute and chronic wounds, including burns. It helps maintain an appropriately moist wound environment and is particularly suitable for larger wound surfaces and burns. The gel contains 0.1% polyaminopropyl biguanide (polihexanide/PHMB) together with a betaine surfactant. The Prontosan system is designed to support wound-bed preparation and biofilm management.
