Arthroscopy Shaver System with Motorized Handpiece & Shaver Blades

The Arthroscopy Shaver is a powered surgical system designed for controlled cutting, shaving, debridement and removal of soft tissue and bone during arthroscopic orthopedic procedures. A typical system consists of a control console, motorized shaver handpiece, compatible shaver blades or burrs and, depending on configuration, a footswitch and suction connection. The motorized handpiece drives the inner cutting blade or burr within an outer tubular housing. The cutting window at the distal end allows targeted tissue resection, while suction can remove excised tissue and debris from the surgical field. Different shaver blades and burrs can be selected according to the procedure and whether soft tissue, cartilage or bone is being treated.
