AED Trainer – Automated External Defibrillator Training Unit

The AED Trainer is a non-clinical simulation device designed to teach learners how to use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) during CPR and emergency-response training. It simulates the operation of a real AED by providing voice and/or visual prompts that guide trainees through common training steps such as powering on the unit, attaching training electrode pads, analyzing a simulated heart rhythm, following shock/no-shock instructions and continuing CPR. AED training is incorporated into CPR/AED education to help learners practice the sequence of using a defibrillator during cardiac-arrest response. Unlike a clinical AED, an AED trainer is specifically designed for simulation and does not deliver a therapeutic electrical shock. It is suitable for repeated practical training with CPR manikins in hospitals, schools, training centres, workplaces and first-aid courses.
